Today, POWER FM was invited out to the University of North Texas for an event hosted by the sorority ‘Sigma Phi Lambda’. This sorority of young Christian women provided food and fun and service for their peers during the afternoon. This was a great outreach and a great opportunity for people to become familiar with Sigma Phi Lambda and other ministries on campus. It was an awesome event, and I can’t wait for the next one at UNT!

It was concert weekend in the Powermobile! Friday night we headed out to the newly open Remedy Club in Rockwall! That place is awesome! With a great stage, plenty of open space, game tables and snacks they are really pushing to expand the Christian music scene in the area and get the Word out to the unchurched! The night kicked off with a young but talented band called More Than a Remedy. Local talent Fearless (who you can hear on the Power FM Indieground and All-Request shows) played a rockin set followed by a great message from speaker Blake Porter (of the Youth Waves segment). Headliner Adriane Blanco band finished off the night with a great set! Be sure to check the bulletin board at kvrk.com for more shows at this venue!
Saturday night took us out to First Baptist Church in Boyd for a concert with The Running Back! Guitarist Vince is a local and he and the band brought down the house with a fantastic show! Props to the youth and everyone at FBC! They we pumped and full of energy! We absolutely enjoyed getting to hang with everyone at the show! I’ll certainly be watching for The Running Back to blow up the Christian music scene soon!

I went out with the Powermobile this afternoon to the 1st Annual Easter Festival at New Life Church in Duncanville, TX. It was a ton of fun! They had live bands, tons of raffle prizes, bounce houses, pony rides, games and they even had the fire department out in their trucks! Several venders and community members came out to hang out and have a good time! Thanks to everyone who stopped by and said hi! I enjoyed hanging out with you! New Life has some great people who are really reaching out to their neighborhood! It’s a great place to check out if you live in the area!

Damian Giglio is power FM’s grand prize winner to have dinner with Corey Lamb and actor Stephen Baldwin who produced Corey’s musioc video. Oh, Corey and Stephen won’t be in Texas any time soon so Damian gets to go to New York, with hotel and travel expense included!
Saturday night we had a great time at the Power FM benefit concert with Manic Drive, News From Verona, and Blood & Water. Thanks to all who came out to join us for a great night of rock! And a special thanks to Ten Talents Ministries for producing the night.
David came by the studio today to pick up his autographed RED guitar he won from POWER FM! He was pretty stoked when he saw it and even though he doesn’t play, I can’t see anything else more motivating then this!
